How Does It Work?

Create your Skipso account

• How do I create my Skipso account?
  Request an invitation to join Skipso by completing the sign up to Beta form accessible from the home page.

  Upon receiving the invitation email you will be directed to the "Join now" page where you will be asked to complete the mandatory fields in the Account Details section: your full name, email address, password, country of origin and postal code. The remaining two sections on the page, Talent Pool information and Availability, are optional.

  After you complete the registration form click submit to access your personal My Skipso page.
• There appears to be an existing account associated with my address
  Be aware that Skipso allows its members to sign-up for only one Skipso account per email address and if you are not the account holder you will not be able to sign up for an account.

  Once you are logged-in Skipso you will be allowed to change your email settings by accessing the account settings section in the top menu.

Login and Password

• I forgot my password
  You can reset your Skipso password by clicking on the "forgot password" link in the sign-in page.
• I want to change my password
  Skipso allows you to change your password anytime just by accessing the relevant section in the account settings page.
• I am not receiving the email to reset my password
  If your password reset email hasn't arrived, please follow these steps:

  • Check your email spam folder
  • Make sure you're trying to login from the correct email address
  • Please note that some emails may be blocked by your Internet Service Provider

• Facebook Connect
  Facebook Connect allows Skipso users to register and connect with their Facebook account using a trusted authentication method. You will have the ability to register for Skipso using your Facebook credentials or, if already a member, to link your Facebook and Skipso accounts. This enables single sign-on, so as long as you are logged into Facebook, you will be automatically logged into Skipso upon navigating to the site.

Setting up your profile

• Why do I need to set up a professional profile?
  Your Skipso professional profile page is what your trusted contacts will be able to see about you and will have to reflect your true professional profile. Wherever you are in Skipso you can edit your profile by clicking on the "edit profile" link in the top navigation menu. Your profile will include basic information about you, contact details, education, work experience and your personal picture. The more complete your profile is, the more likely it is that other people interested in your professional services will be able to find you.
• Can I import my profile from other professional networking sites?
  Yes. We are aware that many of our members already have created their profiles on Linkedin, probably today's most popular professional networking site. To save precious time and allow our members to maintain only one professional profile we are now allowing to import their profiles directly from Linkedin. From the Edit Profile page you can follow the instructions to import your Linkedin profile to Skipso.

Privacy Control

• How can I control the privacy of my personal information?
  Skipso considers privacy to be a top priority. We have implemented some very granular privacy policies that allow each user to control what personal information is displayed. Privacy settings can be accessed and customised by clicking on the "My Privacy" link in the top navigation menu.
